What is this makeover?
Integ values keeping up with the latest technology to best serve our customers. We have been utilizing Java for about a decade and during that time, it has helped us deliver cutting edge functionality to our clients. However, we at Integ want to keep our eyes on the future and want to update our system to wow our clients. This Technology Upgrade Initiative is on schedule to revamp the entire PowerSuite system to migrate from our current Java/Swing to a fully modern Javascript(React) based single page applications. What are the benefits?
What applications are being updated? Stay tuned and keep a lookout in your inbox for the latest updates! Currently completed system are Powerbroker, PowerSpark and are these are being rolled out to our clients right now. PowerManager and PowerGADS are due to be completed later this year. In 2017, in-person training will be offered on conventional and wind reporting for GADS. The purpose of the training is to assist reporters in using an uniform approach to reporting and measuring North American generating plant availability, performance and other related reliability data Conventional GADS training will include items such as how GADS data is used, events and performance, combined cycle component versus block reporting, the case for event reviews, review of cause codes, examples of poorly reported events to NERC, understanding Data Reporting Instructions (DRI) Appendix F: Equations and the data submittal process at Open Access Technology International (OATI). Wind GADS training will include the reporting implementation timeline, entity registration, processes and reports. Additionally, the data submittal process through the NERC GADS Wind reporting application will be covered. The GADSWG will offer training at the following locations: Week of May 1st at Texas Reliability Entity (TRE), Austin Click Here: TRE Registration TRE Fact Sheet Week of August 7th at Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), Salt Lake City Click Here: WECC Registration WECC Fact Sheet October 2nd at North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Atlanta Click Here: NERC Registration NERC Fact Sheet Training classes conducted each week are:

The following message has been sent to the MIC, Markets Gateway, Technotify and Demand Response Subcommittee on behalf of Kim Warshel, Senior Engineer, Real Time Market Operations.
As discussed at the December Tech Change Forum, a separate Markets Gateway training environment is now available for members to use to gain familiarity with the Intraday Offers (IDO) functionality. Users that have Markets Gateway Training access will automatically have Intraday Offers Markets Gateway Training access. An education session to help familiarize members with the Intraday Offer impacts to Markets Gateway is scheduled for Monday, January 9 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. You can register via this link. The targeted implementation date for IDO is November 1, 2017. Please contact PJM’s Member Support Hotline at 866-400-8980 or at custsvc@pjm.com with any questions. CPS Energy is the nation’s largest municipally owned energy utility providing both natural gas and electric service. We serve more than 786,000 electric customers and 339,000 natural gas customers in and around San Antonio, the nation’s seventh largest city. CPS is utilizing our cloud based PowerGADS application, where users can generate statistical generation data from a variety of sources, whether contained in a centralized location or distributed among several. Upon collection, all data is validated using NERC Level 1 and Level 2 diagnostics. Once validated, the data is used for several purposes, including internal reporting; for example, the Station Performance and Generating Outage Rate Program. PowerGADS then submits this gathered data to an ISO/RTO or the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) using standard "card" formats. Integ’s Margin Analyzer examines the relationship between actual margin and lost margin due to outages and derates. By examining the heat curves, the incremental cost curves, and the hourly LMP or system Lambda tied to each specific unit, the system shows the true economic impact of each outage or derate. Margin Analyzer shows how much margin the unit could have made by simulating a generation pattern if the event was avoided.
Integ offers a Wind Module to integrate with our PowerGADS application to help utilities manage the upcoming requirements for Wind Generation Reporting for NERC.
The GADS Wind Turbine Generation Data Reporting Instructions have been developed to assist wind plant personnel in reporting information to NERC’s GADS Wind Reporting application. The instructions detail the procedures, schedule, and format to follow when reporting data. Wind plants with a Total Installed Capacity of 75 MW or more with a commissioning date of January 1, 2005 or later will be required to report on a quarterly basis according to the following phased in schedule: · January 1, 2017: The data collection period for voluntary reporting begins. · January 1, 2018: Mandatory reporting begins for plants with a Total Installed Capacity of 200 MW or larger · January 1, 2019: Mandatory reporting begins for plants with a Total Installed Capacity between 100 MW and 199.99 MW · January 1, 2020: Mandatory reporting begins for plants with a Total Installed Capacity between 75 MW and 99.99 MW |
