ISO New England is replacing its Generating Availability Data System (GADS) NxL with PowerGADS in July 2012
Market participants can register now for training on how to use the PowerGADS software to submit GADS data. The ISO is offering two training options. Both the hands-on workshop and web conference will explain submission rules, the reporting deadline, and the EFORd calculation.
One-Day Computer Lab Workshop, May 23 or 24, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Holyoke Community College, Kittredge Center (Room KC 222); Holyoke, MA;
This hands-on training is recommended for participants who report GADS data on a regular basis, providing the opportunity to become fully proficient in submitting data and using the reporting functionality. The ISO is offering two identical one-day classes on May 23 and 24, 2012. The registration fee is $150. Only 25 seats are available for each class, so register as soon as possible. ISO reserves the right to limit the number of attendees from a single company.
Web Conference, June 5, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
The web conference is free-of-charge and is recommended primarily for those who supervise or provide backup support to GADS data reporters. The instructor will explain concepts and demonstrate the software in a more limited manner than the hands-on workshop. Participants will become more knowledgeable but will not have the opportunity to interact with the software to become proficient.
