FirstEnergy Solutions, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp., will utilize PowerGADS to manage generation availability beginning in January, 2020. PowerGADS, also used by FirstEnery Corp., is where users can generate statistical generation data from a variety of sources, whether contained in a centralized location or distributed among several. Upon collection, all data is validated using NERC Level 1 and Level 2 diagnostics. Once validated, the data is used for several purposes, including internal reporting; for example, the Station Performance and Generating Outage Rate Program. PowerGADS then submits this gathered data to an ISO/RTO or the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) using standard "card" formats.

Keystone and  Conemaugh stations recently were sold by the majority stakes owner, PSEG, and will continue to use PowerGADS to collect and submit NERC availability data. Both stations are using the cloud based PowerGADS application, where users can generate statistical generation data from a variety of sources, whether contained in a centralized location or distributed among several. Canal Station, once part of the NRG subsidiary, GenOn, will continue to use PowerGADS to collect and submit data to NERC. PowerGADS had been the preferred application from NRG and GenOn. Canal Station is utilizing Integ's cloud based PowerGADS application, where users can generate statistical generation data from a variety of sources, whether contained in a centralized location or distributed among several.
